It’s a case of ‘lights out and away they go’ as Auto3iii takes its electronic vehicle health check platform into the motorsport arena for the first time, courtesy of a rookie racer sponsorship in his debut season.

Allan Wright, aged 47, is competing in his first ever racing season in the Ginetta GT Academy and has already emerged as one of the surprise packages of the year, currently sitting second in the standings after a string of podium finishes in the fiercely contested series.

A partnership with Auto3iii will now see branding featured on Allan’s G56 GTA car, as he continues to defy expectations in his debut year.

Backed by decades of real-world automotive expertise, Auto3iii’s next-generation AI-powered eVHC platform has already transformed garage workflows across the UK, helping to identify damage and repairs on motorists’ cars, albeit not necessarily on the same scale as a Ginetta on a competitive race track.

Allan explained: “The car has no ABS, no traction control, and hits speeds of around 130mph. It’s an experience like nothing else. From entering with no expectations, I’ve become fully immersed in racing and constantly think about how to shave seconds off my lap times.”

“Motorsport is amazing, but what I’ve learned very quickly is that every penny counts, which is why we’re all so appreciative of Auto3iii’s support. Their technology is game-changing. Their platform brings total clarity to workshop diagnostics, which is something that really resonates with me.”

Auto3iii’s eVHC solution delivers mileage-based predictive maintenance, intuitive digital reporting, and even a gamified experience that keeps customers engaged. It’s underpinned by proprietary AI trained on more than 250 million vehicle part images, with data captured from over 9,000 workshops and 100,000 health checks daily.

The result is a fully customisable system that streamlines diagnostics, increases workshop productivity, and empowers drivers with clear, actionable insights.

Auto3iii Director David Leighton added: “Sponsoring Allan is about more than just branding – it’s about showing how we can bring clarity and confidence to any motoring environment, whether that’s a local garage or a professional race paddock. We’re proud to be on this journey with Allan and we continue to be blown away by his performances, which are all the more remarkable in his debut race season.”

The Ginetta GT Academy has quickly established itself as the leading entry-level GT series for drivers of all backgrounds. In 2025, the championship will introduce fixed car set-ups across its GTA and Rookie classes to focus entirely on driver development, further reinforcing its reputation as a training ground for the next generation of racing talent.
